Even more amazing seeing it through my children's eyes...

We weren't too sure if we were going to follow through on our Christmas traveling plans this year because of our little Harper, but with a little bribery and some begging from the fam, we decided to make the trek. I do have to add too, that I wanted Beckahm to be able to be around everyone since this would be his first Christmas really kind of understanding what is going on and I didn't want anyone to miss out on that! We were only able to stay Christmas Eve, then head back home on Christmas night due to our work schedules, but we were still happy to do it to be able to spend some time with our families since this will be our last Christmas in Utah for quite a while. So we loaded up our car and headed up north. We stopped at David's parents house on Christmas Eve and opened presents with them before heading to Salina to spend the night. We made it to Salina with only ten minutes to spare to get our soft shelled tacos and pepsis' from the drive-in, if you know us, this is a must! It was so fun to be able to spend Christmas Eve with Dad, Kris, Jade, Sky and my little family. We all stayed up pretty late trying to catch up with each other on everything and of course trying to play Santa a little bit too :). One of Beckahm's big gifts from 'Santa' this year was an enormous inflatable ball pit, that David literally stayed up all night trying to get blown up. Early into the morning he came in to tell me that  the ball pit had holes in it and that they would patch it up as good as they could so B could at least play on it for the day...I was beyond bummed out, but happy that he would still be able to wake up to it, then we could just return it later. When Beckahm woke up he went downstairs to find his very own Jeep (from auntie Santie) and climbed right in! It was almost impossible to get him out! Harper was so sweet and calm through this entire extravaganza and we were all just happy to be there. The kids both got completely spoiled. B got his new jeep, a ball pit with 300+ balls to go with it, a basketball hoop, lots of cars, books, clothes and a new tv chair. Harper got a dreamlite, books, dvds, clothes and baby things. It was our first holiday together as a family of four and it was so much fun. We have so much to be grateful for and this was a great day to remind us of that. I am so grateful for our Savior and for the sacrifices he made for us so that we may be an eternal family. Christmas is even that much more special when you get to see it through your children's eyes. Watching them on Christmas morning definitely tops the list of things that put me far beyond that happy cloud. I adore my sweet little family. xoxo
