Going Private!

Hey All,

I've decided the time has come to make this blog private. I've never really thought about it before, but since I do post a lot about our cute little babes on here and a lot of personal info. I think it's better that I do. And also it just gives a feeling of comfort knowing who is seeing the stuff I post so I don't have anything to worry about. If you'd like to keep reading definitely let me know and put your email either in a comment or send it to my email at shanteljohnson@hotmail.com and I'll add you to the list. I'm hoping to get it set up as a private blog by next week. Thanks guys! And for those of you reading this that have private blogs let me know how you like them too, better or worse? =)

YOU.ARE.MY.HAPPY

Just a little preview of how hysterical he thinks it is when anyone laughs. And just a little more proof that he is the cutest little boy ever! He makes everyday a good day. I love you bugaboo.

Half Way Mark!

6 Month Stats:

Height- 28"-92nd Percentile
Weight- 17 lbs 13 oz- 55th Percentile
Head Circumference- 17.3"- 56th percentile

Well you can definitely tell by these stats that we have a super tall little boy. I loved loving on all of that chub, but it has definitely disappeared. His weight dropped from being up in the 90th percentile to the 50th percentile in two months...sheesh! But it also had a little room to spread out seeing as how this little boy is practically two and a half feet tall! I know I say this every time, but Man! Where the heck does the time go!!! It's still sinking in that we have already raised this little boy for half a year! I'll probably be saying this same thing months down the road =). Beckahm has definitely become the entertainer of our household..along with being the boss, but that happened way back when haha. Here are just some of the fun things that have been going on with B in this new stage of life...

  • Wearing size 3 diapers
  • Can fit into most clothes from 6 months-12 months (He already has tall man's syndrome...Most clothes are too wide and too short)
  • Sleeps like a champ-usually 8 hours every night
  • Sits up by himself, but his way too cautious mother still props the pillows all around him haha
  • Loves to laugh
  • Definitely the most curious baby ever
  • Loves to meet new people and see new places
  • Will go to any and everyone as long as he can still see where mom and dad are
  • Attention LOVER
  • Total golden child as long as he's being held while you are standing up...don't you dare sit down though, he knows when it happens and will let you know it's not okay =)
  • Looooooves the TV remote, cell phones, plastic bags, anything paper and any type of chord...THESE are his favorite things--what an interesting Christmas we would have if we were to get him the things he actually enjoyed haha
  • Loves to look at himself in the mirror
  • Still laughs and then digs his face into my shoulder, then looks back at what he was laughing at-it's like a game to him, so funny
  • Pulls himself to get to his toys, but hasn't quite mastered the crawl just yet
  • Still waiting for those two teeth to completely pop through
  • Have had to lower his mattress already because he will pull himself up to a standing position (shut the front door! where did my baby go? haha)
  • Loves when we play the piggy game with his toes
  • Laughs when you laugh
  • Cutest smile that will melt anyone's heart
  • Any and everything goes directly into the mouth
  • Has started to use mom and dad's hair to balance while standing, it's hilarious!
We love you so much Beckahm Bug! We've made it a half a year, must be doing something right eh? Thanks for letting us practice on you! You're such a trooper! Here's to enjoying the last couple months with our baby before he becomes a little boy...=) And of course this post wouldn't be legit without some pictures of my baby love...

Totally enthralled by his daddy

Cracking up =)

Hand over the camera mom..I've had enough

Love his little laugh

Just watching him laugh was making us laugh so hard..he's such a funny baby

B's First Halloween!!!

This Halloween was so much fun and I cannot even begin to explain how excited I was to dress B up and take him around to see all of the other kid's costumes. Because I had been looking forward to this for soooo long I actually ended up buying Beckahm's Halloween costume way back in July! I had bought a one-size fits all Pea-Pod costume that I thought was the cutest thing EVER! Because it was so far from Halloween I brought the costume home, hung it up in the closet and didn't really think about it again until Friday, Oct. 28th--the day of our first Trunk or Treat. And being the overly excited mother I was, I decided to put the costume on Beckahm to "test" it out and make sure he would be okay with the top of it on his head and what not. As soon as I pulled the Pea-Pod out of the closet I just knew we were going to have a BIG problem. Note to self: NEVER buy a costume as a first timer, and assume that it's going to fit a growing baby 4 months down the road haha.. I put it on anyways to at least take some pictures of this nonsense. This was definitely a one size fits all..for a NEWBORN BABY haha. But it made for a good laugh. Luckily I still had a couple of hours before the Trunk or Treat and I refused to let Beckahm go costume-less on his FIRST Halloween...so after checking all of the stores in St. George and only finding the common costumes I decided to go to the Boutique. I have this thing about being a little outside of the norm, with everything, always. Maybe not always such a great thing, but what do ya do. This boutique had just what I needed. A costume, that was out of the norm, that would not be on every other child walking around the neighborhood. I found a winner. The cutest little turtle costume ever! Not to mention Beckahm was the life of the party in the store since I wasn't about ready to buy that costume and leave without knowing it would fit him for sure! So we grabbed a worker to help us out and threw the costume on. All the mom's around me kept saying, "There's no way he's gonna let you put the top of that costume on his head.." Well we proved them wrong, Beckahm ABSOLUTELY loved it, and all of the attention of course! The costume fit like a glove and was totally legit. Not even being biased right now, I had the studliest little boy in town! So we went home and grabbed the daddy-o and went to the Trunk or Treat that David's work had for all of their employees families. It was a good time and I loved watching how entertained and curious B was about all of the kids and their crazy costumes. On Monday (Halloween) we all got dressed up-David a Mafia Man (seriously looked the part, as in, if I didn't know him and he was coming my way I'd probably cross to the other side of the street haha) Me a Football Player (because I had to work that night so I needed a pretty versatile costume) and of course Beckahm the Turtle. After we were all ready to go we headed over to our church for the Chili Cook Off and Halloween Carnival. We had so much fun playing all of the games and getting balloon animals. The only part of the day that was disappointing was when I had to leave and go to work...boo! But it was such a fun Halloween and I definitely chalk it up as a success! Beckahm was such a happy boy all day long and such a trooper to let us dress him up for so many days in a row. I love our sweet little boy. I love my husband that can pull off looking like a bad A so well. I love how much fun we have with our little family and cannot wait to experience more firsts with little B. Happy Halloweenie!
Before dressing up..he has no idea what he's in for...

Random Happenings

Because I have a slight obsession with taking pictures of my little nugget I decided I better get them on the blog, whether they have anything to relate to or not...and not only that, but being the AVID football fans we are, of course we had to get Beckahm his first football jersey. And this is something that definitely cannot go without documentation! Although I would've chose a different team...cough* saints *cough..=) I still think he looks ridiculously adorable and I am totally in love with it, and the fact that he has twinner jerseys with his daddy. LOVE. Other than that these pictures are just pure randomness...

Step 1: Get a hold of the foot...
Step 2: Lift legs and open mouth
Step 3: Go to town on that foot because it's what's for dinner haha

My husband got tatted up...So hardcore haha

B can finally reach the ground in his exersaucer!

Big Grinner

Deep concentration

Playin in the mirror

He loves awkward positions..this one is one of his favorites lol

So flexible sheesh

My husband came home from work the other day like this haha

Because he is so bomb he was crowned king for the day at work.=)

Twinners!

It's still a little bit big

Peterson Fans!!!

"Yeah, I guess you can take a picture of me and my new jersey..."

Such a little stud in his new jersey...I love it!

Like I said...complete randomness
